Looks good

Two shows coming up that have me interested ...

- FX is the first to wade into the realm of the Iraq war with 'Over There', which debuts in July.

- TNT will show a Steven Spielberg miniseries based on the settling of the frontier with 'Into The West' ... which promises to be much better than other depictions of the struggles of Native Americans during the expansion of the United States in the 1800s.

In what way do you think it promises to be better? I'm genuinely curious, and have no opinion of my own.

By that I mean that it looks to be very authentic in its depiction of the frontier - both from a historical and visual standpoint. I could be wrong about this, but I've read good things and the trailers have rocked.

Also, it figures to show more from the side of Native Americans, which save for a few films in the past 15 years or so, has typically portrayed them as unruly savages.

You don't think it looks cornball and superficially multicultural?

I really don't. I mean, I'm not thrilled about Keri Russell's role in it - with no disrespect to Felicity - but I think it looks like the best TV movie made depicting life from both sides on the frontier.

Again, I could be totally wrong once this thing gets going.

This I would not disagree with.
