If you could attend one of the following two games, which one would you choose?

Oct. 15 - Southern Cal at Notre Dame

Nov. 2 - Tennessee at Notre Dame

We're taking votes here, and I have a hunch I know what the answer is gonna be.

Why would anybody in the south say Southern Cal?

No, I mean, "why would anyone in the South pick the Southern Cal game?"

Why would anyone pick Southern Cal? They're No. 1 in the country ... why not? Plus, when am I going to get to go see Southern Cal. I think watching Reggie Bush would rock.

So I'm leaning toward picking that one.

Eff Southern Cal! If I want to see someone beat on Notre Dame, I'm picking an SEC school to do it, even if they do wear orange.

Yeah, but even though I hate Tennessee, at least they're not continually romanticized by the sports media. I hate all three of those teams, but at least I have some sort of connection to Tennessee.

Who are these people that keep poaching? Doesn't that piss you off a bit?

Back on task — Why give Tennessee any credit? The Southern Cal game is it, hands down. I'm with Ctrent: this is one of the most storied rivalries in college football history. USC, people doubted their awesomeness last year until they inihilated (sp?) Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. And every Trojan who scored a touchdown in that game comes back. WTF!! Plus, Notre Dame has a cool new coach who helped engineer three of the last four Super Bowl championship teams. Plus, they've got that dude from Bufford (although, from what I understand, that dude wanted to go to Georgia, but them Dawgs took Thomas Brown instead — guess who I think got the better end of that). Plus, where is the USC-Notre Dame game? OK, enough 'pluses.' Either way, its a winner — The Coliseum? South Bend (home of the college football hall of fame)? If it's at Neyland, that is the hell of college football for anyone from Georgia. Orange. Seats too small. Bad memories of Quincy ... No, I haven't forgotten Herschel over Bates, and the hobnailed boot both happened in knoxville. Still I hate that place.

And by the way, in the South, USC does not mean South Carolina. What the hell have they ever done? How many 10-win seasons this century? Yeah, that's right.

The ONLY reason I'd choose Tennessee is because I went to Tennessee. Had I attended any other school, it'd be the USC game hands-down. The game has lost some of its luster the past few years though.
