In lighter news
The painters at the office are listening to some serious adult contemporary music.
Just a few moments ago Club Nouveau's version of Lean On Me ... and now Hold On To The Night by Richard Marx.
Coupled with the concentration of fumes, it's making for a surreal morning.
UPDATE: Seriously. Take It On The Run by REO Speedwagon? It's like I'm trapped in a dental office.
UPDATE II: Shadows Of The Night by Pat Benetar. I can't make this up. Hell, I can't keep up with it.

Dude, we used to sing that song back in chorus.
I distinctly remember The Rose by Bette Midler.
Related to that, I also remember Melody Cadenhead telling that To Be With You by Mister Big was the song for her and Shaun McCollum.
Actually, that wasn't related to that, but it popped in my head.
I once heard a muzak version of Sweet Melissa in Billings, mt.
There was a flute sitting in for Gregg.
When I want to jibble with Wendy (as husbands are wont to do with their wives), I sing lines from "The Rose." She hates that song, and I think Midler, too.
Also, just to get his goat, this one's for Xon.

Wow.
I used to play in a band that opened for Mr. Big once in Savannah. The lead-guitarist used an electric drill to elicit screams and squeels from his guitar, running up and down the neck. Needless to say, he got his LONG hair completely wrapped up in the drill. While we watched in amazement backstage, he sat out the next 30 minutes of the show meticulously unwinding the tangles, and wouldn't let anyone near him with scissors.
dh,
you are required to post a picture of yourself from your rawk days.
did anyone else stumble accross Panic on public tv last night for an hour or so? they were great, they looked so young, now that was a blast from the past.
thanks for the Rose reference, jmac, I'll be fighting that song in my head all day. kudos buddy...
