See who you support *

If you've got a few minutes, check out this survey from The Washington Post and see what candidate you match up with. There are both Democratic and Republican versions.

Weirdly enough, Hillary Clinton finished first on my list, followed by Bill Richardson and Barack Obama.

Huh. Equal parts Clinton and Richardson./ But I've always liked Richardson. I think he'd have a great shot at winning if he weren't up against such star power.

1) Ron Paul
2) Mike Huckabee
3) Rudy Giuliani
4) Fred Thompson
5) John McCain
6) Mitt Romney

About how I guessed it would be.

I got 16 for Richardson, 13 for Obama, 11 for Clinton and 10 for Dodd. I appear to be conflicted!

The answers were by and large all so similar that I don't know what the point of this survey was, except perhaps to measure whose turn of phrase we like better.

And on the other side...
1. Ron Paul, by a landslide!
2. Rudy Giulani
3. Everybody else.

I must confess that I haven't explored Ron Paul much previously. I'm not surprised regarding Giuliani, though -- I assumed I would end with either Giuliani or Romney. That is, the old Romney.

Interesting (but not surprising) how Ron Paul is dominating the Rep. side of this poll. He's got more than twice the votes of the #2(Romney) so far. He seems to win by a landslide in most of these "polls" I've seen. Yet the media still won't call him a "viable" candidate.

I found the bulk of the "answers" provided by other candidates insipid and meaningless. They're all saying the same damn thing, which is nothing. Paul's got balls . . . so to speak.

Nicki, I have supsected you would match up well to Paul. Obviously on the free market stuff you will have your differences, but on foreign policy and civil liberties, you can't do any better. Something you and I can both agree on, I'll bet. :-)

Out of curiosity, I did the Republican poll as well and finished with ...

1. Giuliani
2. Romney
3. Paul
4. Thompson
5. McCain
6. Huckabee

The poll is definitely off kilter since I ranked higher values to some answers regarding some social issues because they were the areas where I found some small degree of shared views, which, naturally, artificially inflated both Giuliani and Paul. I had a good number of answers that ended in with Huckabee, but I ranked them at the lowest end of the value scale which kept him in last place.

Yeah. These are shitty answers. There's often not a real choice. I got bored after four questions and quit.

1)Blake Aued
2)A Magic Eight ball
3)Blake Aued
4)Sam Waterston
5)Mike Fishman

I think I had the wrong website.

Also, it's possible the answers would be more varied if they'd bothered to ask everyone who's running, ahem.

Reminds me, I now heart Dennis Kucinich. Not that he'll win, but he's kinda dreamy.
