Couple of things

- This came up during the recent forum with Rep. Doug McKillup and Rep. Keith Heard, but the new driver's education law doesn't apply to adults who don't have a license. That is, it only requires teens to go through some sort of driver education program, but a 37-year-old who has never been behind the wheel and possesses the same level of driver know-how as a 16-year-old doesn't have to do so. Heard seemed a tad stumped when posed this question by someone in the crowd, and I gotta say that it doesn't seem terribly fair. A person with no driver training is still a person with no driver training, regardless of age.

- Nicki went to the land use planning session, and she offered some thoughts on the experience at her blog.

- Folks, you think parts of East Campus smell? Imagine some academic buildings build on the North Oconee Sewage Treatment Plant property.

- I think Matthew Yglesias is somewhat right on this, but also kinda misses the point ... which is that if you want to build a long-term majority for the Democratic Party, you have to find a way to reconnect with those moderate voters who do live in the suburbs on an issue not named 'Iraq.'

- This seems to be a rather circular argument, doesn't it? And an incredibly nit-picky one that, well, isn't terribly accurate either.

- PWD at Georgia Sports Blog and I disagree a little over who was a better Georgia basketball recruiter. I mean, Jim Harrick is a crooked fella, but he also brought in some impressive talent too.

- 'Everybody knows the world is full of stupid people, so meet me at midnight and we'll divy up there ...'

- After tying for 23rd at the FBR Open, Charles Howell III slips to third in the FedEx Cup standings, but is currently fourth on the PGA Tour Money List meaning that's good enough (to date) for a Masters berth.
