Fruits of labor
Per a request from The Wife, here are some pictures from our work on the nursery over the weekend. Let me tell you ... hanging crown molding that has to be cut at such a sharp angle, as well as getting these columns exactly straight and exactly the same size, isn't terribly easy.
In other Mini-McGinty news, we had our first childbirth education class last night and were forced to watch 'the video.' I was ready for the actual birth aspect, but they don't really prepare you for that whole 'delivery of the placenta' thing. That kinda sneaks up on you.

This looks fab! I thought it was wallpaper, but I guess it must be stenciled. Your wife is out to lunch at the moment or I'd ask.
As for the childbirth class surprise - you'll get many more unexpected surprises in the next 20 years or so.
It is stenciled and was only a minor pain in the neck. the worse part was lining up those columns. The actual stenciling part has gone rather smoothly with only a few more spots left.
Thanks, Jonathan! I had Holly convinced that it takes an "expert" to cope crown molding corners. Now you had to come along and show her that corner blocks aren't entirely necessary. I appreciate that. ;>)
P.S., the room looks great, BTW.
