The PP fellas have one of the worst man crushes I've ever seen. Thompson is an empty suit. I don't understand the attraction.
Honestly, I don't know why they aren't falling all over McCain.
The funniest thing I heard about Thompson was on Meet The Press last weekend, where they were stacking up both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama with the rest of the GOP field of contenders, and both were trouncing Thompson in head-to-head matchups.
And one panelist finally said 'listen, Thompson is simply that generic Southern Republican you put up there ... he doesn't even need a name.'
