Who wants tomatoes and corn?

You've got dueling farmer's markets in our area for the next few weeks. Over at Bishop Park you've got the Athens Farmer's Market and Eagle Tavern in Watkinsville is hosting the Oconee Farmer's Market.

Nobody has corn ready this early in the year. Even tomatoes might be pushing it. It's still May.

Plenty of tomatoes at Thomas Orchards and down the road a bit at the stand in Bishop. Just picked up some in fact.

It is too early for corn (outside of the wonders of global trade bringing corn to your local Publix).

A lady at the Oconee Farmer's Market told me she'd have some wax beans in a few weeks, which was pretty awesome.

Of course, as nice as these places are, they pale in comparison to the Cordele State Farmer's Market.
