Salvation Army Christmas program

This was sent to me regarding The Salvation Army's 'Adopt-A-Child' program they do during the Christmas season ...

For as long as I can remember, the Salvation Army in Athens has made sure that less fortunate children and families have something special at Christmas. Last year was the biggest ever when they "adopted" over 300 children.

This year, with the economy in the ditch and people out of work, they have registered 3500 children. A number that boggles the mind.

Please join me and others in our community in helping to provide a memorable Christmas for these children and families that are less fortunate.

If you are already an annual "adopter", consider "adopting two. Those of you who have not participated in the past, please join us and pitch in.

THERE ARE CURRENTLY STILL 600 CHILDREN THAT NEED YOUR HELP!!

If you are interested in participating, you may contact Tammy Mize at (email) tammyjmize@yahoo.com ...
