It's getting ugly

Alabama Gov. Bob Riley, apparently oblivious to the perils facing North Georgia, has asked President Bush to deny federal assistance to our state and continue to let water from Lake Lanier be channeled down to the much wetter coastal areas.

He argues it would put Alabama jobs at risk ... which, in his eyes, is arguably more important than us having water to drink.

Awesome.

Are you guys getting any rain? Kentucky has almost been carried off to the ocean the last two days with the torrents, and the map they showed on the local weather here this morning looks like north GA is getting it too.

We're getting some, but no where near enough. It's frustrating ... Alabama is picking up five to six inches, while New Orleans got seven-plus in the past 25 hours.

Atlanta and North Georgia was projected to get 0.41 inches.

I was in Nola yesterday. They were sending kids and college students home because of flooding, and we still can't get enough for even a tiny little mudslide...

It's the twenty first century and we still can't figure out how to equalize this stuff out.....

I can only think of one guy who can, and I talk to Him a good bit, but nothing yet. I'll keep asking though.
