Am sure there have been several Georgia governors who did not finish college.
I'm trying to figure out who they were, and I honestly didn't mean that as a snarky question even though it was in a snarky post.
I'd figure it would be mid-1800s for the last governor lacking a college degree. Of course, I still think Oxendine is the dark horse favorite in the GOP primary. He's got the most political skill in the current bunch.
Cagle declared today and he doesn't have one. Will get out my history books and root around when I have time. Pretty sure Lester Maddox for one did not go to college, although he worked at Atlantic Steel and had a restaurant (the infamous Pick Rick, I think) by the North Avenue Trade School.
Maddox didn't even have his high school diploma.
